The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing the before and after school programs ensuring a safe engaging and supportive environment for students.
This role includes planning and coordinating activities supervising staff maintaining proper paperwork and upholding the values and teachings of the Catholic faith while adhering to the standards of childcare and education as outlined by diocesan guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Management: Oversee the daily operations of the after-school program ensuring a structured safe and nurturing environment for all students.
Activity Coordination: Plan and implement a variety of engaging and educational activities that promote social emotional and academic development.
Student Supervision: Monitor and support students during after-school activities addressing any behavioral or safety concerns promptly and effectively.
Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with parents staff and school administration regarding program details student progress and any concerns.
Adherence to Catholic Values: Ensure that all aspects of the after-school program reflect and adhere to the values and teachings of the Catholic faith.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of attendance activities and any incidents and prepare reports as required.
Paperwork Management: Ensure all necessary paperwork for students and employees is properly maintained and up-to-date including attendance records health and safety documentation and staff credentials.
Budget Management: Assist in managing the program budget including purchasing supplies and materials necessary for activities.
Required certifications: CPR First Aid and MAT Certification (must be completed before the start of employment).
Qualifications: A passionate commitment to Catholic education and values. Excellent organizational and leadership skills. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with staff students and parents. Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and adapt to changing situations.
Must be 18 years or older and able to pass background checks and complete VIRTUS training.
