Position: EEG Technician
Shift: Day Shift 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
Schedule: Every other weekend
Preferred Experience: Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU)
Overview
Seeking a skilled EEG Technician to perform routine and continuous EEG studies across inpatient and outpatient settings. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise patient care skills and the ability to analyze and prepare EEG data for physician interpretation.
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine EEGs in accordance with established clinical guidelines
Work with patients across all age groups (neonatal to geriatric)
Apply and measure electrodes for both adult and pediatric patients
Record enter and prepare EEG data for physician review
Conduct descriptive analysis of EEG waveforms and observed patterns
Edit and manage long-term (24-hour) EEG recordings
Ensure proper patient and family communication and care
Maintain EEG equipment and acquisition stations
Report equipment issues and maintain logs
Follow all departmental and organizational policies and procedures
Required Qualifications
Registered EEG Technologist (R EEG T) certification required
Minimum 1 year of EEG experience required
Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification required
Strong computer communication and critical thinking skills
Ability to pass pre-employment health clearance
