Job Title: Senior Support Worker
Location: Hereford

Salary: Up to 34779 per year (depending on experience and qualifications)
Working Hours / Shift Pattern: 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent (Full Time or Part Time)

Service: Childrens Home
Service Users: Young people aged 818
Qualifications Required: NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare (minimum)
Experience Required: Minimum 2 years experience working in a childrens residential setting

Who we are looking for:

Our client is looking for a caring and experienced Senior Support Worker who is passionate about supporting children and young people in residential care.

You will play a key role in creating a safe supportive and nurturing home environment where young people can feel valued supported and encouraged to achieve positive outcomes.

The role involves supporting young people with their daily routines building strong relationships and helping them develop confidence and independence.

Key responsibilities include:

Supporting young people with daily routines such as preparing for school mealtimes and activities.
Creating a warm homely environment and supporting with light household tasks.
Building meaningful relationships and providing emotional support to young people.
Planning and taking part in activities such as trips games movie nights and creative projects.
Maintaining accurate records to ensure high-quality care and compliance.

The ideal candidate will be patient supportive and able to build strong connections with young people. A full UK driving licence is required.

You do not hold a Full UK Driving Licence and do not have a car.
You only hold a Level 3 in Health & Social Care (this is not deemed equivalent).
Candidates with only HealthCare NHS CQC or Nursery Practitioner qualifications will not be considered.

Individuals with only CQC experience and who have not worked in an Ofsted Registered Childrens Home will not be considered.
