Description

We are recruiting a Receivables & Banking Assistant to join our growing team! Youll play a key role maintaining financial accuracy by reconciling balance sheets rent and service charges while managing ledger transactions including income postings and invoicing. Proactively investigating and resolving discrepancies and acting as a trusted point of contact to stakeholders.

Duties include:

  • Process all transactional entries in the finance ledger that fall within the remit of the role.
  • Ensure posting of manual and electronic income files are undertaken in a timely manner.
  • Perform balance sheet banking rent and service charge reconciliations on a regular basis.
  • Issue credit card statements to card holders and post to ledgers.
  • Investigate discrepancies and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Ensure any unpaid invoices are followed through the recovery process.
  • Provide rent & service charge information in relation to relets.
  • Liaise with colleagues across the business to ensure accurate information is reported.
  • Ensure any charges raised to accounts have had the appropriate delegated authority sign-off.


Requirements
  • GCSE level English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above) or equivalent.
  • Experience of handling / analysing financial transactions and reconciling.
  • Good understanding of basic accounting principles.
  • Knowledge of financial reporting standards and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent attention to detail accuracy and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to confidently explain information clearly and concisely.
  • Studying towards AAT or equivalent (desirable)
  • Housing sector experience (desirable)
  • Right to Work in the UK - visa sponsorship is not available.
