Role Overview: The QHSE Officer is responsible for developing maintaining and implementing the company Quality Health Safety and Environment (QHSE) Management System. The QHSE officer will be fully responsible for delivering the quality process support and implementing safe systems of work and safe behavioral practices at all levels throughout the area of responsibility.
This position is to provide QHSE guidance to the organization and supports the operations process to maintain and continually improve the quality process safety culture and performance in line with the organizations needs to comply with business objectives in the short medium and long terms and in accordance with the terms of our customer contracts.
What youll do:
Identify and implement QHSE improvements on an ongoing basis in conjunction with the QHSE Lead.
Support Risk Identification Reporting (RIR) and ensure timely follow up and closure of RIRs.
Monitor and improve the Health Safety & Environment in compliance with local legislations regulations and company policy.
Ensuring compliance to the Factory Act Environment Protection Act liaison with Regulatory Authorities including Local state HSE laws & regulations.
Conduct regular inspections through- out the area of responsibility covering business facilities and depot / project sites but not limited to identifying potential risks or improvements required.
Liaise and coordinate with Depot Manager/ Operations Managers/ Service Managers/ STLs/Yard lead to ensure compliance with Aggrekos QHSE policies and HSE Standards.
Ensuring compliance to all internal/external reporting processes identifying trend and gap analysis through reporting.
Support in the preparation of risk assessments job safety analysis method statements and PTWs on an ongoing basis where required.
Liaise with the suppliers and service providers for all QHSE related requirements in conjunction with the QHSE Lead.
Liaise with the relevant authorities for any QHSE related issues that may need to be resolved in a timely manner with guidance from the QHSE Specialist.
Conduct internal QHSE inductions encompassing all relevant staff and sub contractors when required.
Maintaining Suppliers Non-Conformance log and liaising with relevant personnel for closing out the concerns/issues.
Identify potential training requirements relevant to QHSE and produce training calendar proposals for review.
Manages the progress of the HSE Reports (Risks and Incidents) for the assigned area of responsibility.
Actively committed and accountable for compliance to the Aggreko Health Safety & Environmental policies operating procedures and compliance to local legislation including external and internal audits.
Conduct in depth Investigations for all QHSE related incidents and liaise with locations teams creating corrective and immediate action plans.
Any other duties considered related essential for effective operations and service as requested.
Conduct internal HSE inductions at a local level encompassing all relevant staff Contingent worker and sub contractors.
Liaise with Aggreko sales team and customer representatives and prepare and support completion of Pre-Qualification questionnaire along with the required documents to support customer requirements.
Youll have the following skills and experience:
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or electrical engineering or Bachelor of Science ( BSC) with advanced diploma in Industrial safety or post diploma industrial safety from Govt recognised institute.
Minimum three to four years of experience in related field.
Qualified in either NEBOSH IGC or NEBOSH Diploma is required.
Possession of valid local driving License as per the need of the business.
Availability to travel frequently as and when required within India.
Has knowledge or experience in mechanical or electrical fields or both is desired.
Fluent command of English & Hindi language is an advantage.
