Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated highly skilled technician to perform preventative maintenance and entry-level mechanical repairs on commercial trucks. This position supports fleet and customer vehicle safety reliability and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Performpreventative maintenance servicesin accordance with manufacturer and company standards including inspections lubrication fluid and filter replacement.
- Inspect and performclutch and brake adjustments and related repairs.
- Inspect service and repair5th wheel assemblies.
- Performbasic diagnostics and repairson heating and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.
- Conductsteering and suspension repairs including replacement of related components.
- Assist withdrive train repairs including drive lines U-joints and differentials.
- Accuratelydocument all work performedon repair orders and inspection reports.
- Operate hand tools pneumatic tools and basic diagnostic equipment in a safe manner.
- Performstate and federal safety inspectionsas trained and authorized.
- Assist with emissions-related inspections and maintenance where applicable.
- Comply with allcompany safety policies DOT regulations and applicable state and federal laws.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 12 years of diesel technician experience in diagnosing and repairing light medium and heavy-duty trucks.
- Experience performing PM related services.
- Must have a valid drivers license: CDL Preferred.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs/push-pull 75lbs.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- ASE certification preferred.
- CDL certification preferred. (We will train)
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment and random drug screening required by DOT.
