POSITION OPENING: Varsity Sideline and Competitive Cheer Coach
15-20 Hours per Week

POSITION: Varsity Sideline and Competitive Cheer Coach
LOCATION: AVONDALE HIGH SCHOOL
REPORTS TO: ATHLETIC DIRECTOR
HOURS: 15-20 HOURS PER WEEK


JOB GOAL: To provide instruction of high school athletes in the fundamental skills and development of Cheer and also instill moral values pride of accomplishment acceptable social behavior self-discipline and self-confidence


WHAT WE NEED:

1. Experience Coaching cheer
2. Knowledge/experience scheduling practices
3. Teach techniques and fundamentals of sport
4. Be able to demonstrate all skills necessary for the sport
5. Be knowledgeable about the rules and regulations of the sport
6. Assume the responsibility for constant care of equipment and facilities being used
7. Conduct structured practices that stay within the confines of the specified times at the Athletic Department
8. Be an example ofgood character and sportsmanship to team at all times
9. Conduct fundraisers to provide money for team supplies and needs
10. The coach will be responsible for organizing practices developing skills and routines promoting sportsmanship and supporting school spirit while ensuring a safe and positive environment for student-athletes
11. Choreograph and teach cheers chants and routines
12. Prepare the team for games competitions and school events

WHAT YOU NEED:
1. Works cooperatively with administrators students parents and community.
2. Ability to lead organize and supervise all aspects of the cheer program.
