You now have the opportunity to join a dynamic team composed of two board-certified pathologists and 20 pathology staff members supporting the clinical and research missions of Emory National Primate Research Center located on Emory Universitys campus in beautiful Atlanta Georgia! The Centers research programs include studies related to infectious diseases (such as HIV SARS-CoV-2 Zika and Malaria) vaccine development neuroscience and transplantation. We maintain a colony of approximately 3000 nonhuman primates including rhesus monkeys cynomolgus monkeys pigtail macaques sooty mangabeys squirrel monkeys and chimpanzees. A rodent vivarium is also located on site. The salary will be commensurate with the applicants experience. RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Providing diagnostic pathology services both in support of the clinical care of the nonhuman primate and rodent colonies and in support of ongoing research projects.
• Engaging in collaborative and/or independent research.
• Teaching laboratory animal and primate pathology to laboratory animal veterinary residents.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• DVM (or equivalent) degree.
• Eligibility for ACVP board certification.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Motivated dependable and detail-oriented.
• PhD degree and/or prior experience (<2 years) with diseases and pathology of nonhuman primates.
