Technical & Industry Knowledge

Understanding of civil construction processes (earthworks concrete drainage roads etc.)
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
Familiarity with construction codes and regulations
Knowledge of construction materials methods and equipment
Contractual knowledge

Project Coordination & Administration

Document control (RFI transmittals drawings site instructions)
Schedule tracking and updating Gantt charts or look-ahead programs
Procurement coordination (materials subcontractors plant)
Progress reporting (site diaries daily/weekly reports)
Permit and compliance tracking

Communication & Interpersonal Skills

Liaising with engineers site supervisors subcontractors and clients
Clear written and verbal communication
Ability to keep stakeholders informed and aligned

Organizational & Problem-Solving Skills

Managing multiple tasks under pressure
Detail-oriented with good follow-up
Quick problem identification and resolution
Ability to prioritize effectively

Software & Digital Tools

MS Office (especially Excel Word Outlook)
Project management tools (MS Project Primavera or similar)
Document control systems

Site Awareness & Safety

Basic understanding of construction site safety
Ability to recognize and report hazards
Familiarity with site logistics and workflows
Recognize delays on site

Qualifications

Diploma or degree in construction management civil engineering or similar

Contractual Knowledge

Understanding of different types of construction contracts (lump sum re-measurable etc.)
Familiarity with contract administration (scope variations claims extensions of time)
Awareness of key clauses (payment terms dispute resolution deliverables)
Ability to assist in compiling evidence for claims or variations
Coordination with commercial and legal teams when required
