Job Title: Medical Assistant Outpatient / Clinical Support
Desired Location: Flushing New York
Job Type: Contract (16 Weeks)
Shift: Day Shift 5x7 Hours (9:00 AM 5:00 PM)
Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to support clinical and administrative functions in an outpatient healthcare setting. The ideal candidate will assist providers with patient care maintain clinical workflows and ensure a high standard of patient service.
Key Responsibilities
Assist providers with patient examinations and procedures
Perform basic clinical tasks including vital signs and patient preparation
Support sterile techniques and minor procedures
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
Prepare and clean exam rooms before and after patient visits
Ensure proper handling and stocking of medical supplies and equipment
Provide support with patient intake and coordination of care
Follow all infection control and safety protocols
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
Completion of a formal Medical Assistant training program
BLS Certification (required)
Preferred Qualifications
Medical Assistant Certification (AAMA-CMA AMT-RMA)
1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant
Experience with clinical procedures and sterile techniques
