The Middle Mile Transportation Technology organization builds complex software solutions that work across our vendors warehouses and carriers to optimize both time & cost of getting the packages delivered. Our services already handle thousands of requests per second make business decisions impacting billions of dollars a year integrate with a network of small and large carriers owner operators and drivers worldwide manage business rules for millions of unique products and improve ordering and delivery experience for millions of online shoppers. That said this remains a fast growing business and our technical journey has only started. An example of a recent innovation from this group is AmazonFlex () that enables crowdsourced last mile delivery. As part of this team you would work on program management for an exciting initiative in middle mile transportation organization. You will regularly interact with executive leadership and work with business teams to define product strategy develop the product development road map technology architecture and execution. Youll work in a fast paced environment and will be required to lead not only at the strategic level but also tactically day-to-day by diving deeply into business and technical domains. As a multi-discipline leader the buck will stop with you - you will work alongside engineering (dev and test) organization.

Key job responsibilities
a) End-to-end ownership of requirements gathering documentation planning and implementation of cost-effective solutions for Amazon transportation network

b) Communicate and collaborate cross-functionally across multiple teams in operations technology and planning to define strategic roadmaps while keeping the impact of the solution to all stakeholders in mind

c) Creating and implementing data driven improvements to Amazons transportation network that deliver flexible and efficient products for our customers

d) Designing and implementing feedback mechanisms to drive performance and cost improvement in processes

e) Ability to deep dive and do root-cause analysis using data and create metrics-driven actionable and sustainable solutions for the future

f) Monitor KPIs across nodes and analyze their drivers to determine the level and type of engagement required based on the risk to customer experience and utilization of technology

- 5 years of program or project management experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy end to end delivery and communicating results to senior leadership

- 2 years of driving process improvements experience
- Masters degree or MBA in business operations human resources adult education organizational development instructional design or related field

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
