About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on Data Architect &Tooling Specialist to take ownership of a modern data platform ecosystemensuring data quality observability governance and reliability.

This role is ideal for professionals passionate aboutbuilding scalable data platforms with a strong focus on metadatamanagement semantic modeling and automation frameworks.

You will play a key role in driving data transparencyenabling self-service data products and ensuring that data is trustedwell-governed and business-ready.

Key Responsibilities

Metadata & SemanticLayer

• Design and maintain a centralized metadata repository
• Build and evolve data catalog lineage and metadata standards
• Define semantic models business vocabularies and data contracts
• Ensure automated lineage tracking across data pipelines
• Align with broader enterprise metadata initiatives

GovernanceTransparency & Compliance

• Deliver governance dashboards (lineage access logs data quality)
• Lead data governance reviews (ownership access compliance)
• Ensure alignment with regulatory and internal standards

Tooling & Automation

• Implement self-service data product templates with embedded metadata
• Introduce observability across data pipelines and lineage
• Enhance CI/CD pipelines for data workflows

Collaboration &Knowledge Sharing

• Partner with domain owners to translate business definitions into data models
• Promote best practices in metadata and data governance
• Mentor engineers on semantic modeling and data quality standards

Technical Skills Required

Observability &Monitoring

• Tools such as Prometheus Grafana OpenTelemetry (or similar)

Data Tooling &Pipelines

• Experience with CI/CD dbt and orchestration tools (Airflow Dagster Prefect)

Metadata & DataCatalogs

• Hands-on experience with DataHub Amundsen Collibra Alation (or similar)
• Strong understanding of data lineage and metadata frameworks

Semantic Modeling &Data Architecture

• Experience designing business vocabularies canonical models and data contracts
• Knowledge of Data Mesh or domain-oriented architectures (plus)

Data Quality & AI

• Experience with data quality frameworks (e.g. Great Expectations Monte Carlo Datafold Bigeye)
• Ability to build custom anomaly detection models (Python) is a strong plus

Programming & QueryLanguages

• Python (Expert)
