Supplier Product Quality Manager (fmdiv.)
Job Summary
As a Supplier Product Quality Manager you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of purchased components throughout the procurement and product lifecycle.
- Ensure the quality of purchased parts within the procurement process guaranteeing compliance with defined quality requirements
- Secure product quality from initial sampling through to series production
- Approve components within sampling processes (e.g. PPAP)
- Manage and follow up on supplier complaints (e.g. using 8D methodology)
- Initiate and track improvement measures to sustainably enhance supplier and process quality
- Collaborate closely with Purchasing Engineering Production and Logistics to ensure supplier product quality
- Support quality assurance activities for new components and product launches
- Monitor quality KPIs (e.g. PPM complaint rates) and derive targeted actions
- Drive continuous improvement (CIP) across the supply chain
- Support Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and ensure quality throughout the entire product lifecycle
Qualifications :
Education
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering Industrial Engineering Supply Chain Management or a related field
Experience
- Several years of experience in Quality Management ideally in Supplier Quality Manufacturing or Complaint Management
- Solid understanding of relevant quality standards (e.g. ISO 9001)
Know-how
- Experience in supplier quality assessments and technical coordination within procurement environments
- Knowledge of sampling procedures (e.g. PPAP)
- Experience in complaint management and problem-solving methodologies (e.g. 8D 5 Why Ishikawa)
- Familiarity with preventive quality tools (e.g. FMEA Control Plan)
- Experience working with international stakeholders
- Strong understanding of quality KPIs and data analysis
- Knowledge of SAP or similar systems is an advantage
Languages
- Fluent German and English both written and spoken
