Our ideal Music Analytics Intern is curious detail-oriented and passionate about the intersection of music and data. This individual is eager to analyze streaming performance audience growth metrics and digital engagement trends to better understand how artists reach and grow their fanbases. An interest in using data to uncover insights and support strategic decision-making within the music industry is highly valued.
Responsibilities
- Perform streaming analysis for artist campaigns using platforms such as Spotify for Artists Apple Music for Artists Chartmetric Soundcharts and more
- Prepare music release and fan discovery reports for teams to support decision-making
- Analyze listener behavior playlist placements and artist digital platform metrics to inform strategy and campaign planning
- Monitor trends across digital platforms and music communities
Preferred Skills
- Strong interest in the music industry streaming analytics and data-driven artist growth
- Familiarity with digital music and social media platforms
- Ability to analyze interpret and report data in Google Sheets or Excel
- Curiosity about music consumption patterns listener behavior and streaming trends
- Detail-oriented self-motivated and able to work independently as well as collaboratively
- Previous internship or academic experience in music analytics or digital media is a plus
Position Information
- Internship is part-time; college credit is available but not required
- Internship is paid at the minimum wage of the state in which the office the intern is working in
- Access to a computer and reliable internet connection is required for this position
