Role Overview
The Volunteer Coordinator supports the day to day coordination of volunteers and helps ensure a smooth organized and welcoming volunteer experience. This role works closely with MNLC staff and the Volunteer Lead to match volunteers with appropriate opportunities and maintain clear communication.
Key Responsibilities
Support volunteer recruitment intake and onboarding
Maintain volunteer records schedules and contact lists
Assist with matching volunteers to programs and roles
Communicate updates expectations and schedules to volunteers
Flag concerns or issues and escalate when appropriate
Requirements
Strong organizational and communication skills Comfort working with diverse teams and community members Ability to manage multiple tasks and follow established processes Experience in volunteer coordination or administrative support is an asset Interest in nonprofit or newcomer serving work
