Job Summary

Role - AM/Manager – Production Planning

Location - Mumbai

Job purpose - The Production & Distribution Planner plays a critical role in coordinating production activities and optimizing distribution operations. This position requires meticulous planning strong organizing skills and effective communication to ensure efficient production scheduling and timely delivery of products to sales depots across multiple locations.

Roles And Responsibility

Key Pointers:

1. Production Planning:

Collaborate with production & logistics managers at each manufacturing unit to develop production schedules based on sales forecasts inventory levels and capacity constraints.

Monitor production progress identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions toensure on-time delivery of finished goods.

2. Inventory Management:

Maintain optimal inventory levels of finished goods at each manufacturing unit and sales depot.

Conduct regular inventory monitoring analyze inventory turnover rates and implement inventory optimization strategies to minimize carrying costs and stockouts.

3. Distribution Planning:

Develop distribution plans to allocate products from manufacturing units to sales depots based on demand forecasts delivery schedules and transportation constraints.

Coordinate with logistics teams to optimize transportation routes minimize lead times and reducetransportation costs while ensuring timely delivery to sales depots.

4. Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Work closely with cross-functional teams including sales marketing procurement logistics and quality assurance to align production and distribution activities with business objectives.

Communicate production schedules inventory levels and distribution plans to relevant stakeholders to ensure transparency and coordination across the supply chain.

5. Continuous Improvement:

Identify opportunities for process improvements cost savings and efficiency enhancements in production and distribution operations.

Implement best practices standard operating procedures (SOPs) and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Graduation
Relevant Post Graduation qualification

Years Of Experience

8 – 10 years with minimum 5 years’ experience in production planning inventory management and distribution planning roles preferably in the beverage or consumer goods industry.

Knowledge Required

Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis supply planning and inventory optimization techniques.

Skills Set

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and distribution partners.

Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge of production scheduling software ERP systems.

Good proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Flexibility to adapt to changing production schedules demand patterns and business priorities.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic and challenging environment

Target Industry / Company

Exposure in Large Manufacturing Industry with widespread infrastructure; Preferably in F&B or FMCG

manufacturing companies.
