Honeywell is recruiting for theAssistant General Counsel Industrial Automation Greater Chinato oversee and support all legal matters of Honeywell Industrial Automation (IA) across Greater China. This position will be based inShanghai Chinaand report to the Vice President & General Counsel of Greater China for Honeywell. Your primary client will be the Vice President & General Manager for IA Greater China.

  • Under the supervision of Honeywells Vice President & General Counsel Greater China serve as the first point of contact in the Greater China region for IAs Vice President & General Manager for Greater China and work with the other members of the Honeywell Law Department to deliverlegal servicesin a timely and effective manner across the will also work closely with IAs global Vice President & General Counsel to coordinatelegalstrategies and ensure general alignment with Honeywells and IAs global practices and business interests.
  • Analyze and advise on alllegalandregulatoryissues for the IA business including those relating to commercial andcontract law environmental health and safetyintellectual property leasing licensing corporate complianceforeign investment labor & employment M&Aproduct liability anti-trust etc.
  • Lead IA Chinas contract reviewand management. Draftnegotiateand managelegal documentationfor a broad range ofcommercial transactions(including NDAs supply and sales agreements).
  • Managelitigationfor and against the IA business and directdispute resolutionefforts including the management of external counsel for referred matters in Greater China.
  • Oversee the integrity and compliance program for IA in Greater China including internal investigations in coordination with the Honeywell Integrity & Compliance team.
  • Analyze and assess the risks and benefits of matters of strategic importance to the business in IA Greater China such as the completion of alliancesacquisitions divestiturespartnerships joint ventures and the creation of new manufacturing sites andlegalentities (including engagement withregulators).
  • Conduct preventive lawtrainingon a wide variety of topics includingcompetition law export regulationsdata privacy contracting excellence protection ofintellectual property anticorruption laws and workplace issues.
  • Develop standardized processes and templates to efficiently deliverlegal servicesin the region and in support of the Honeywell and IA Law Department initiatives.
  • Serve as a key legal partner of the IA Leadership Team in Greater China providing support and guidance on an ongoing basis to all IA China functional and business leaders.
  • Take any other initiatives or assignments for Honeywell China as part of Honeywell China legal team.


Qualifications

Qualifications

  • At least 8 years of experience as a Licensed Attorney working at a major law firm and multinational company in a seniorlegalcapacity.
  • Current admission to practice as a Chinese attorney is required. JD or LLM degree from an accredited US law school or current qualification to practice law in a US jurisdictionis preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience at a law firm or listed companyadvisingon transactionalgovernance compliance andlitigationmatters.
  • Substantial experience in contract management and drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts.
  • Clear and effective communication skills written and verbal.
  • Strong multinational business transactional experience including commercial agreements businessacquisitions divestitures and joint ventures.
  • Experience in conflict resolution at the pre- and post-litigationstages ofdispute resolution.
  • Demonstrated intellectual capacity and high personal standards of excellence including integrity andgood judgment.
  • Personal presenceclear and effective communication skillsand credibility necessary to effectively interact with and influencemanagementand directors.
  • Ability towork independentlyand aggressively drive key initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach and motivate non-legalemployees regardinglegalissues affecting business transactions and to provide advice that blendslegalexperience with an understanding of and appreciation for a clients business objectives and the needs of a global organization.
  • Self-motivateddedicated team playerwho will take aproactiveapproach in managing prioritizing and seeking to continuously improve internallegalfunction.
