The Analog Field Applications Engineer (AFAE) is responsible for partnering with Sales and providing Analog related technical expertise throughout the sales cycle. The AFAE proactively identifies current products and/or creative solutions to solve existing customer projects and create new functionality/ this role the AFAE uses in-depth product knowledge to provide technical expertise to gain credibility and develop relationships with customers.
This role is responsible for application support for FPD-LINK products used in AUTOIVI and responsibilities include:
- Answer customer questions and supporting design-in activities for released products. This includes:
o Schematic and Layout Review of customer application
o Debug of customer problems by re-creating issues in our evaluation boards and/or customer boards
o On-site support for customer board as required as well as for technical training and deep-dive - Write application notes that explain different use cases implementation and/or flexibility of our products
Qualifications
Minimum requirements:
- Bachelors in electrical engineering microelectronics or related degree
- 1years work experience in hardware/software design or analog chips AE/TE/FAE
- Familiar with high speed signal knowledge.
- Experience with design analysis and debug of related circuits or sub-systems
- Experience to support customers in tech issue debugging
- Good English verbal and read/written skills
- Willing to learn new things
Preferred qualifications:
- Familiar with SerDes architecture and theory experienced in using or debugging SerDes
- Ability to run simulations and create/ review schematics and Giga Hz signal layout
- Familiar with China automotive market information with supporting related customer experience
- Strong communication skills and the ability to proactively drive customer activity
- Strong English verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
- Demonstrated ability to build strong influential relationships
