Technical Manager II / Technical Officer (at the rank of Executive Officer / Clerk I) in Centre of Development and Resources for Students (Ref. 534752) (to commence as soon as possible on a two-year fixed-term basis with a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme totalling up to 10% of basic salary with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance).
Applicants should possess a Higher Diploma or above in Building Services / Electrical Engineering or equivalent with minimum 5 years in building maintenance of Residential or commercial buildings; holder of Registration Certificate of Electrical Worker (Grade A or above); and excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English and Chinese; strong interpersonal skills for user-facing support. Experience in leading the technical team to carry out routine and preventive maintenance would be an advantage.
The appointee will play a vital role in the overall operations of the student residences managed by Centre of Development and Resources for Students. Responsibilities include handling maintenance and repair tasks for student residences; assisting the hall management in drafting engineering specifications quotation requests tender documents and executing tender procedures; supervising project works and ensure quality standards; following up on deficiencies; coordinating stakeholder requirements and expectations; maintaining and update building services drawings for student residences; and participating in other ad hoc projects as assigned. Those with lower qualifications or experience may be considered for appointment as Technical Officer.
