MRI Technologist (MRI Technician) Kamloops BCJoin a collaborative patient-centered imaging team in Kamloops BC. We are seeking an MRI Technologist who delivers safe accurate and compassionate care. Experience in fluoroscopy or cross-training in general radiography is an you will do Perform high-quality MRI examinations according to established protocols and safety standards. Complete thorough patient screening and education; obtain consent and monitor patient comfort and safety throughout the exam. Start IVs and administer MRI contrast as authorized; recognize and respond to adverse reactions. Operate MRI scanners coils and post-processing software; optimize parameters for image quality and throughput. Collaborate closely with radiologists and the care team to prioritize problem-solve and ensure timely reporting. Maintain accurate documentation within RIS/PACS and follow QA/QC procedures. Uphold MRI safety best practices (screening Zones IIV ferromagnetic risk mitigation). Provide cross-coverage in general radiography/fluoroscopy where qualified (fluoroscopy experience is an asset). Participate in rotating shifts weekends and on-call as you bring Diploma in Medical Radiation Technology (or equivalent) with MRI specialty training. Current CAMRT certification in MRT(MR) or working toward certification; or equivalent credentials. Eligibility to practice in British Columbia in accordance with provincial requirements. 1 year of recent MRI experience preferred; strong new graduates are welcome to apply. Demonstrated MRI safety knowledge patient screening proficiency and IV/contrast competence. Effective communication teamwork and patient-centered care skills. Experience with RIS/PACS workflows; comfort with GE/Siemens/Philips MRI platforms an asset. Fluoroscopy and/or general radiography experience is a strong asset.
