Job Summary

Job Title: Waking Night Residential Support Worker (Bank Temp to Perm)

Location: Oldham (solo home setting)

Pay: 16.00 per hour
Pay Frequency: Weekly (based on hours worked)

Working Hours: 8:00pm 8:00am (12-hour waking night shifts)
Shift Pattern: Must be able to commit to consistent night shifts

Employment Type: Bank (with opportunity to move into a permanent role)

Service Type: Ofsted-regulated solo childrens home

Service Users: Young people with mid-level complex needs (EBD / trauma-related needs)

Experience Required: Previous experience working within a childrens residential home is essential

Qualifications: Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) desirable

Driving Requirement: Preferred

Eligibility: To be considered for temp-to-perm candidates must not require sponsorship or be on a visa

DBS: Preferred on the Update Service

References: Must be able to obtain references covering the last 5 years including all roles involving children or vulnerable adults

Number of Beds: Solo placement
Location: Middlesbrough
Type of Young People: Mid-complex needs including Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties and trauma backgrounds
Staffing Ratio: 2:1 support model

Who we are looking for:

Individuals with direct experience in childrens residential care settings
Confident in lone and waking night responsibilities including safeguarding and monitoring
Reliable and able to commit to consistent 12-hour night shifts
Calm observant and able to respond effectively to incidents during the night
Aged 21 or over (in line with safeguarding requirements)
