Job Summary

Lead the full lifecycle of civil engineering projects from concept and design to construction and handover.
Develop and review technical designs drawings and specifications in compliance with local and international codes.
Conduct site assessments feasibility studies and geotechnical evaluations to inform project planning.
Supervise field operations ensuring adherence to engineering standards safety protocols and project timelines.
Manage and mentor junior engineers and technical staff fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
Coordinate with government agencies contractors consultants and community stakeholders to ensure project alignment and regulatory compliance.
Prepare and manage project budgets schedules and risk assessments; report progress to senior leadership.
Implement sustainable and innovative engineering solutions tailored to Central Africas environmental and logistical challenges.
Ensure all documentation is accurate complete and maintained in accordance with project and company standards.

Requirements

Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; Masters degree preferred.
25 years of progressive experience in civil engineering with demonstrated leadership on infrastructure projects in sub-Saharan Africa or similar environments.
Proven expertise in structural design road and bridge construction drainage systems and site development.
Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and other relevant engineering software; experience with GIS and project management tools is a plus.
Strong understanding of local and international construction standards including ISO AASHTO and local regulatory frameworks.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound technical decisions under pressure.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with experience managing cross-functional teams and external partners.
Willingness to travel and work in remote or challenging field conditions across Central Africa.
