Are you a driven and collaborative AI Developer with a passion for building intelligent systems that make a real difference At Saab we are on an exciting journey to harness the power of AI and we are looking for a AI Developer to join our growing will work hands-on with cloud and on-prem AI solutions that address real-world challenges in defence security and critical infrastructure. Youll belong to a supportive team that values curiosity learning and a healthy worklife balance. We work in a hybrid setting with team members spread across the country.
What youll do:
- Design build and deploy AI systems
- Fine-tune and optimize ML models for performance accuracy and efficiency
- Deploy and monitor ML models ensuring reliability and responsible AI
- Business advisory - translate business needs to solution design
Your profile
We are looking for a collaborative AI Developer with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities who is motivated by working in complex environments. The ideal candidate will bring high autonomy and adaptability to the role demonstrating a proactive approach to identifying opportunities and driving meaningful change within the organisation. You have a strong sense of ownership.
Helping others grow comes naturally to you. We value someone who is comfortable in a mentoring and knowledge-sharing capacity helping junior colleagues and consultants grow their skills and contribute more effectively to our teams success.
You bring some of the following skills:
- 3-7 years hands-on experience in professional software development
- Practical experience in AI engineering
- Python
- Azure
- Understanding of cloud infrastructure
- Agile/SAFe WoW
- Stakeholder management
- Adapting your communication to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Fluent in English and Swedish both spoken and written
Nice to have:
- MCP server/client
- Background in public sector regulated or security sensitive environments
- BSc/MSc in Computer Science AI/ML Data Science Engineering Mathematics or equivalent experience
This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply. Occasional travel may be required.
