These vehicles collect pavement distress data and imagery that is used by the Department for financial and engineering decisions. The Road Profile Analyst I is responsible for organizing and conducting statewide data collection and analysis projects to determine the overall quality of roadways. Extensive overnight travel is required during the summer months. Responsibilities include operating state-of-the-art equipment and software to collect road condition data. Other duties include data quality control equipment maintenance equipment calibration and a variety of continuous improvement projects as assigned. The position reports to the Pavement Management Supervisor (#40080) and serves as a lead worker.

Ability to operate motor vehicles for extended periods of time including operating the vehicle with precision steering and speed control to produce the highest level of data quality.
