About the Program

Career Launch is a unique learning and networking experience designed to help you explore the legal profession and build meaningful connections. While this is not an internship or employment opportunity the program offers you the chance to:

Be paired with an experienced Clayton Utz professional for personalised guidance and career advice meeting with your mentor a few times during the program.
Attend two exclusive events including a kick-off event and a wrap-up networking evening where you will gain practical insights into the legal profession and learn more about pathways to your future career.

The program is available in our Brisbane Canberra Melbourne Perth and Sydney offices.

Participants will not be employed by Clayton Utz or undertake work for the firm as part of this program.

Is this program for you

Yes if you are:

Enrolled in a Bachelor of Laws or a Juris Doctor at an Australian university.
In your pre-penultimate year of study (e.g. 1st 2nd or 3rd year of an LLB or 1st year of a JD).
Passionate about learning developing yourself and building connections with experienced professionals.

Key Dates

Each office will host a kick-off event and networking evening in or around May 2026 with a wrap-up event and networking evening scheduled for October or November 2026. Exact event dates will be shared closer to the time.
