Position Summary
The Electrical Technician is responsible for building wiring installing and troubleshooting industrial manufacturing equipment. This role works with control cabinets automation systems robotics and various electrical components while collaborating with a highly skilled engineering and production team. Training and development opportunities are provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver excellent customer service with professionalism and patience.
- Work safely and follow all established safety procedures.
- Assemble and wire control cabinets pendant controls electrical boxes and custom attachments.
- Take ownership of industrial wiring projects to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Install automation and prototype equipment and support troubleshooting of all components.
- Communicate effectively with team members and leadership.
- Measure test and diagnose AC/DC circuits using a multimeter.
- Perform three-phase wiring on motors spindles conveyors pumps and VFDs.
- Support engineering with motion control systems PLCs and robotics.
- Ensure equipment meets specifications and contribute to process improvements.
- Identify issues and offer constructive suggestions for enhancement.
Qualifications
- Strong motivation to learn and develop new skills daily.
- Electrical knowledge related to industrial manufacturing equipment.
- Ability to read and apply electrical schematics.
- Experience building and wiring industrial control cabinets.
- Associate degree in industrial electricity or related field from a technical school.
- Two years of relevant hands-on experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience in industrial electrical control and automation.
