Job Summary

JOB GOAL:

The Practical Nursing/Concurrent Credit Coordinatoris a dual-role position responsible for overseeing all aspects of concurrent credit enrollment alignment and compliance acrossCTE programs while also coordinating daily operations student support and partnership management for the Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) program in collaboration with Baptist Health College of Little Rock (BHCLR). This position ensures high-quality program delivery positive student outcomes and full compliance with LRSD Arkansas Division of Career & Technical Education (DCTE) Office of Skills Development (OSD) and postsecondary partner requirements.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Ten and one-fourth(11.0) month contract (225days) plus benefits package. NOTE: Precise placement within the salary range will be determined based upon education and experience. FLSA: Exempt

Funds financing the contract for this position are provided by federal Perkins V grant.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Bachelors degree required; Masters degree preferred.
  2. Valid Arkansas teaching license or program-appropriate professional license (e.g. RN/LPN) preferred.
  3. Minimum of three years experience in Career & Technical Education higher education health sciences or program coordination.
  4. Experience working with concurrent credit dual enrollment or postsecondary institutional partnerships strongly preferred.
  5. Knowledge of CTE programs DCTE standards OSD reporting requirements and industry-recognized credentials.
  6. Proficient in the use of advanced technologies (AI Google & Microsoft platforms and excellent written and oral presentation skills including strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  7. Evidence of strong oral and written communication skills.
  8. Other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

The following statements of duties and responsibilities are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this position.   1. Manage all concurrent credit offerings including course alignment student eligibility and registration with partner colleges.
  2. Serve as the primary liaison between Metro instructors counselors and college partners for concurrent enrollment processes and expectations.
  3. Maintain accurate records for concurrent credit enrollment transcripts drop/add timelines and Perkins-related data.
  4. Provide guidance and training to teachers on concurrent credit requirements syllabus alignment assessments and partner institution expectations.
  5. Communicate deadlines and program information to students and families for both concurrent credit and LPN program requirements.
  6. Coordinate daily operations of the High School Practical Nursing (LPN) Program including scheduling supplies uniforms and cohort logistics.
  7. Serve as liaison to Baptist Health College of Little Rock (BHCLR) to support curriculum alignment clinical schedules and student expectations.
  8. Monitor student progress in the LPN program (attendance grades professionalism) and coordinate remediation or support as needed.
  9. Ensure compliance with DCTE BHCLR OSD grant requirements including accurate documentation of clinical hours credentials and program milestones.
  10. Prepare and submit required reports updates and data summaries to the Director of CTE for both concurrent credit and LPN program operations.
  11. Perform other duties as assigned.

Mental Functions Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to sit stand walk go up and downstairs operate foot and hand controls use a telephone and write. Occasionally the employee must lift and/or move up to twenty (20) or more pounds. This position requires accurate perceiving of sound near and far vision depth perception handling and working with educational materials and/or objects and providing oral information. Must have the ability to work for the duration of the daily contracted time period and to be physically present and at assigned work with only infrequent unexcused absences during the contract year. Additional technical skills knowledge and abilities may be recommended by the immediate supervisor and approved by the Human Resources Director.
