Do you want to work for a leading national not-for-profit organisation providing dedicated human and social services to a diverse AustraliaWith community at the heart of everything we do our purpose is to create a world in which everyone has access to equal in Logan QLDFull-Time Permanent PositionSCHCADS Award Level 4About YouThe Case Manager (Intake) is responsible for conducting holistic assessments and completing applications for asylum seekers seeking SRSS services as well as providing ongoing case management support through the development and submission of case plans within required KPI timeframes under contract with the Department of Home Affairs (DHA). This role operates within the Status Resolution Support Service (SRSS) a complex program supporting highly vulnerable individuals in the community who are awaiting visa outcomes and face significant economic health or immigration-related to the SRSS Intake Team Leader and supported by a broader leadership team in Queensland the role works within a small specialist team to assess client eligibility conduct intake assessments and submit applications to DHA for individuals and families. The position also undertakes additional responsibilities as required including occasionally acting as an Independent Observer for unaccompanied ResponsibilitiesAssess client eligibility for SRSS services and conduct comprehensive needs assessments including developing initial case plans within KPI timeframesComplete and submit SRSS applications to DHA supporting clients to gather required documentation where possibleProvide referrals and assist clients to access essential services build independence and navigate community supportsLiaise with external service providers and support client registrations including travel and work across service locations where requiredMaintain accurate client records track application outcomes and deliver timely high-quality reportingEnsure compliance with program standards policies and contractual requirements while contributing to continuous improvement and team supportEssential CriteriaDiploma/Degree in Community Services/Welfare or related two years casework experience ability to work independently on general tasks with minimal of case management/assessment approaches and theoretical working with CALD clientsA drivers licence is desirable About UsSettlement Services International (SSI Group) is a community-based organisation and social business that supports newcomers and Australians to achieve their full potential.
