Job Type: Full-TimeAbout the OpportunityOur client a well-established and highly regarded full-service law firm in the Greater Vancouver area is seeking a Corporate Commercial Paralegal to join its growing team.This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented professional who enjoys working on a wide variety of corporate and commercial matters within a collaborative and fast-paced environment.The successful candidate will work closely with a partner and associate on a broad range of transactions playing a key role in managing files from inception through to closing and post-completion.The RoleThis is a hands-on position offering exposure to a diverse mix of corporate and commercial work including mergers & acquisitions financing transactions and general business matters.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Assisting with complex business acquisitions and divestitures (share asset and hybrid transactions)
- Supporting commercial lending and borrowing files including secured financing matters
- Drafting and reviewing a variety of corporate and commercial documents including:
- Shareholder agreements
- Commercial contracts
- Lease agreements
- Preparing transaction closing documentation and coordinating closings
- Managing multiple files and timelines across concurrent transactions
- Preparing reporting books invoices and closing deliverables
- Coordinating calendars meetings and workflow to ensure efficient file progression
- Liaising with lawyers clients and external stakeholders throughout transactions
Qualifications & Experience- Paralegal certificate or diploma from an accredited institution
- Minimum 3 years of experience in corporate/commercial and lending work within a law firm
- Strong familiarity with LTO and PPR registrations and processes
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple transactions in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Sound judgment and professionalism in client interactions
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
- Willingness to support transactional demands including occasional extended hours during closings
