This role supports a large-scale government program focused on child support services involving the development and maintenance of multiple enterprise applications including:
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Lead Software Architect to oversee architecture design and system integration across multiple enterprise applications. This role requires strong expertise in child support systems (IV-D domain) leadership capabilities and experience managing full SDLC lifecycle activities.
The ideal candidate will lead cross-functional teams oversee vendor deliverables and ensure seamless integration between complex systems.
Key Responsibilities
Lead architecture and design across multiple enterprise applications
Develop deep understanding of functional and technical requirements
Ensure effective system integration and data flow across platforms
Collaborate with project managers developers and business stakeholders
Oversee all SDLC phases: requirements design development and testing
Manage requirements traceability and change control processes
Review third-party/vendor deliverables to ensure quality and compliance
Lead teams of business analysts testers and subject matter experts
Define and document user stories workflows and technical specifications
Prepare reports and communicate progress to leadership
Support testing validation and implementation efforts
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems Engineering or related field
5 years of experience with Child Support Enforcement Systems
Experience in Child Support (IV-D domain)
Knowledge of federal regulations related to child support systems
Experience gathering and translating functional requirements
Experience working with developers and end users
Experience with New Hire / employment-related applications
Preferred Skills
Experience with SharePoint
Experience with Team Foundation Server (TFS)
Proficiency in SQL Server
Experience with Visio or similar tools
