The Warehouse Manager will play a crucial role in optimising warehouse operations implementing process improvements and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. There are no direct reports into this role. This is day role with flexibility needed to cover shift when vital. Supporting the day-to-day operation of complex automation systems at Amgen Dun Laoghaire (ADL) which is a 37000 square metre aseptic drug product operations facility specialising in secondary manufacturing activities Formulation Vial/Syringe Filling Lyophilisation and Packaging. There is a strong culture of continuous improvement and innovation within ADL to strive for solutions that improve health outcomes and dramatically improve peoples lives. Amgen is developing the capability to produce all its medicines in Dun Laoghaire helping to ensure continuity of supply of our medicines as we expand internationally. This role involves shift work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manages daily Warehouse and Dispensary processes to ensure safe efficient and agile material flow that will help meeting additional volumes.
- Process Optimization: Identify areas for process improvement within warehouse operations and implement solutions to enhance efficiency reduce costs and improve overall performance:
- Productivity improvements and NVA reduction
- Continuous Improvement initiatives
- Health and Safety programmes
- Supports appropriate training plans for Warehouse and Dispensary Teams in conjunction with input from area SME Sr Associate.
- Provides support on area procedures to the Senior Manager Warehouse and Dispensary.
- Acts as delegate Point Person with other site functions to ensure that the daily/weekly work schedule for personnel in the area is planned organised and communicated.
- Deviation CAPA & Change Control take ownership for minor deviations CAPAs or Change Control as delegated by the Sr Manager Warehouse and Dispensary.
- Provide support to area manager for LMS training for the Warehouse and Dispensary staff.
- Support the area during audits and inspections.
- Can act as delegate for Senior Manager Warehouse and Dispensary.
- Projects:
- Actively participate on Operational Excellence programs on site including 5S programs Kaizen events Value Stream Mapping etc.
- Support any projects in the Supply Chain department when required.
- Any other relevant projects as deemed by the Senior Manager Warehouse and Dispensary.
- Any other key tasks as determined by area management.
- This role involves shift work

The successful candidate for this role will bring the following education skills and experience
- Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain or equivalent.
- Knowledge of cGMP and other regulatory requirements are required.
- SAP or other ERP system experience.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate in multi-cultural global forums at network level
- Between 2-5 years working in a manufacturing environment.
- Good process development and problem solving skills.
- Ability to communicate finding and make recommendation to the wider organization.
- Advanced experience and capability with Excel Word Visio Teams and MS Project.
