Job Title: Junior Cybersecurity Analyst

Location: Remote (Must work PST hours)

Duration: 06 months

Employment Type: Contract

Pay Range: $35 to $40

Responsibilities

• Support Tenable vulnerability management platform as part of daily vulnerability management operations.
• Act as the first line of defense in the SOC triaging investigating and escalating alerts across the environment.
• Support cross functional teams that own and manage various assets.
• Provide assistance and guidance to end users as needed.
• Assist with Proofpoint email security alerts including investigation of potentially malicious or infected emails.
• Monitor dark web intelligence alerts and escalate when appropriate.
• Perform general SOC responsibilities such as threat monitoring event triage incident tracking and basic security ticketing.

Qualifications Required:

• Entry level candidate with 2 years of experience in vulnerability management SOC operations or related security tasks.
• Experience supporting vulnerability management tools (Tenable strongly preferred).
• Familiarity with Proofpoint or similar email security tools.
• Understanding of core security concepts including alert handling basic incident response and ticketing workflows.
• Strong analytical communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical users.
• Ability to work PST hours.

Preferred:

• Security certifications (e.g. Security CySA CEH etc.).
• Experience in healthcare environments.
• Knowledge of HIPAA PHI PII and relevant compliance considerations.
