Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced SAP Application Lead with strong expertise in SAP SD (Sales & Distribution) within the Retail domain. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of functional and technical skills along with proven leadership experience to manage offshore teams and drive application support and enhancements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Application Maintenance Support (AMS) and resolve critical production issues in a timely manner
- Lead and coordinate with offshore teams ensuring smooth delivery and support
- Manage client relationships and act as the primary point of contact for SAP SD-related activities
- Work on Retail business processes including promotions store operations and store sales
- Support and enhance SAP Fiori applications related to Retail/Store Operations
- Handle interfaces batch jobs and integration processes within SAP landscape
- Perform basic debugging and technical analysis to troubleshoot issues
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver business requirements
- Support S/4HANA environments and related implementations/upgrades
- Ensure system stability performance and continuous improvement
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 8-12 years of strong hands-on experience in SAP SD (Sales & Distribution)
- Proven experience working with Retail clients/projects
- Experience in Application Maintenance Support (AMS)
- Good understanding of Retail processes (Promotions Store Ops POS Sales)
- Experience with SAP Fiori applications
- Knowledge of interfaces batch jobs and integrations
- Experience working in SAP S/4HANA environments
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to handle both functional and basic technical aspects
- Excellent communication and client management skills
- Proven leadership experience managing offshore teams
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with SAP CAR (Customer Activity Repository)
- Knowledge of POS systems integration
- Prior experience in Retail transformation projects
