Job Summary

Role: Software Integration & Test Engineer

Client: Defense-Aerospace

Hourly Rate: up to $46/hr (W2 non-benefited)

Length: 12-months

Location:Scottsdale AZ

Clearance: Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire.

Responsibilities:

Execute software integration and test (I&T) on software defined hardware solutions
Troubleshoot software bugs realized during I&T working with hardware and software engineers to resolve
Follow best practices for test automation continuous integration and test reporting
Suppprt development of automated test scripts using Python 3.9
Coordinate integration activities between hardware firmware and software teams
Support AGILE implementation
Support configuration management documentation and processes to release and deliver software
Maintain accurate records of test activities and results

Required Skills:

Knowledge and experience with object-oriented programming and scripting languages Python
Experience with hardware/software integration testing
Experience with test equipment (signal analyzer signal generator USRP)
Willing to work in a fast-paced rapid-prototype environment adapting to immediate course correction as needed
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Outstanding communication skills for frequent contact with managers project teams across the company and external customers and vendors

Desired Skills:

Familiarity with software testing and debug
Background in defense or aerospace industries
Team player who thrives in collaborative environments and revels in team success meeting and exceeding personal and team commitments
Ability to grasp and apply new information quickly and handle increasing responsibilities with growing complexity
Commitment to ongoing professional development
Agile experience preferred

Required Education and Experience:

A Bachelors degree in Software Engineering or a related Science Engineering Technology or Mathematics field. Also requires 2 years of job-related experience or a Masters degree and 6 months of job-related experience.
