QTEC Aerospace is seeking a LEAD SCRUM MASTER to join our team of professionals in Huntsville AL. The qualified applicant will become part of a team of professionals representing both industry and government. The successful candidate will be detail oriented have a proven track record and a positive work ethic.

Job Summary

QTEC Aerospace is looking for highly capable and motivated individuals. The successful candidate will function as an integral member of a multi-contractor team providing program engineering and technical support to Missile Defense programs. The candidate will provide Agile leadership and coordination across multiple scrum teams supporting the BM/SRM software product. They will report directly to the teams Product Owner and will support execution across four scrum teams within the product area.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include but may not be limited to the following:

• Collaborate closely with team Scrum Masters and development teams during iteration planning and sprint execution
• Help ensure backlog readiness work decomposition execution and tracking
• Consistently apply Agile practices across teams and support coordination among multiple teams
• Mentor the Scrum Masters supporting each team facilitate cross-team collaboration and assist in identifying and removing impediments that impact team performance

Minimum Education and Experience

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Software Engineering Engineering Mathematics Physics or a related field from an accredited university along with at least 8 years of experience; or a Masters degree in a related field with at least 6 years of relevant work experience; or 12 years of relevant work experience may be considered as an alternative to a degree

Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities

• Strong background in supporting software engineering on DoD programs
• Previous experience as a software engineer systems engineer or other technical contributor supporting a software development team
• Experience working as a Scrum Master in Agile software development teams
• Extensive knowledge of Agile methodologies and Scrum practices
• Experience coordinating work across multiple Scrum teams
• Experience using Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence to support Agile software development teams
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills including ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and prepare and brief presentations to the customer as needed
• Self-motivated and customer-oriented

Desired Knowledge Skills and Abilities

• Experience as a technical lead or senior developer in a software development organization
• Experience with modern software development practices like CI/CD pipelines version control workflows and automated testing
• Experience breaking down Agile features into user stories with clear acceptance criteria
• Experience working in a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environment
• Experience leading Agile teams supporting complex DoD software systems
• Experience in Agile coaching
• Agile certifications such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM) Certified Scrum Professional (CSP) PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM)

Security Clearance

Candidates must currently have and be able to maintain a minimum DoD SECRET level security clearance.
