DescriptionWe are looking for a parental cover for 8 months with an academic background within agriculture or ecosystem science to join 12 other colleagues in the Agri-Food department at the Novo Nordisk Foundation (NNF). You will specifically be part of the Agriculture Team that focusses on research and innovation within sustainable agriculture ecosystem management and biodiversity. The team currently consists of five scientific employees with diverse scientific expertise.
Joining our team and NNF means being part of a dynamic work environment where your skills and expertise contribute to NNFs support to the Danish Green Tripartite Agreement.
The Job
This may be your first job after graduating from university or you may have had up to 3 years of additional relevant work experience. As Scientific Specialist you will work on projects in support of NNFs activities related to the Green Tripartite including topics such as ecosystem monitoring land-use change effects on nitrate leaching biodiversity and greenhouse gas balances data analytics or agricultural innovation. You will contribute with your academic mindset and structured approach to solving tasks while handling smaller or larger operational challenges in close collaboration with colleagues.
Your specific tasks will include:
- Driving project management processes that are part of developing strategic initiatives related to sustainable agriculture and biodiversity in collaboration with colleagues.
- Supporting colleagues with project development activities including workshop execution stakeholder management preparation of written documents and review processes.
- Mapping of stakeholder networks and research funding landscapes in Denmark.
- Engaging with relevant communities through workshop participation public events or conferences and extent insights to colleagues.
Professional And Personal Qualifications
We are looking for a team-member who has:
- An MSc in agriculture environmental science ecosystem science biology or a related discipline and no more than 3 years of relevant work experience (or a recent PhD degree).
- Strong analytical skills and relevant experience using AI tools.
- Strong communication skills including fluency in oral and written English. Proficiency in Danish is advantageous but not required.
As a person we expect you to be collaborative curious and open-minded. A strong interest in topics related to nature agriculture food land-use change or other aspects within the Green Tripartite and insight into these areas are highly valued. You approach new challenges head on and do not mind doing things for the first time. Your ability to coordinate and work in a disciplined and structured manner with attention to detail are some of your key strengths.
