Front Office Bellperson (Overnight Shift)

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

A smile and warm greeting is what our Guests will receive when staying at Swissôtel Chicago. Your engaging personality will make a lasting impression when our Guests arrive at the hotel. You are friendly detail-oriented and love the rush of handling multiple tasks all at once. You love helping your team in delivering incredible experiences for your guests - and it just so happens youll be doing just that in an award-winning hotel.

Always willing to lend a helping hand with a smile your passion for the property and your respect for our guests belongings will ensure that our guests feel welcome as soon as they arrive.

Please note this is an overnight shift from 11 pm to 7:30 am.

• Consistently offer professional friendly and engaging service
• Open car doors for arriving and departing guests while greeting them warmly
• Assist with the loading and unloading of luggage to and from guest vehicles
• Assist guests regarding hotel facilities in an informative and helpful way
• Timely delivery of guests luggage messages and any other items for delivery within the property
• Personalize guests orientation of their room in a professional friendly and engaging way
• Maintain presence in the lobby as an ambassador of the property and brand offering exceptional service to the guests
• Follow departmental policies procedures and service standards
• Follow all safety policies
• Any other tasks that may be assigned

Physical aspects of the position include but are not limited to the following: 

• Constant standing and walking throughout shift
• Constant lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs
• Occasional kneeling pushing pulling lifting
• Frequent lifting and carrying more than 50 lbs
• Frequent ascending or descending ladders stairs and ramps

Qualifications :

YOUR EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS INCLUDE:

• Must be able to work any shift assigned such as holidays weekends afternoons and evenings.
• Service focused personality is essential; customer related experience an asset
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
• Excellent communication skills and a professional presentation
• Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
• Highly responsible & reliable
• Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team
• Ability to focus attention on guest needs remaining calm and courteous at all times
