Description- The Quality Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that all products meet the highest quality standards in compliance with customer specifications industry regulations and company requirements. This role involves the assessment analysis and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes to ensure the consistent production of high-quality components.
- Monitor and evaluate manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct inspections audits and tests of components
- Analyze and resolve quality issues implementing corrective and preventive actions as necessary.
- Develop implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for quality control and testing.
- Review product designs specifications and production methods to ensure quality standards are integrated from the beginning. Work with engineering and production teams to optimize production methods and quality standards.
- Conduct root cause analysis of quality problems and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues.
- Collaborate with clients and external partners to ensure product quality and resolve quality concerns promptly.
- Supervise and mentor quality technicians providing guidance on testing inspections and reporting.
- Develop and deliver training programs to educate production staff and quality technicians on quality standards and best practices.
- Maintain detailed records of inspections tests and audits to ensure traceability and compliance with industry standards.
- Prepare and present quality reports to management highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs) trends and improvement initiatives.
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Industrial Engineering Quality Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 4-8 years of experience in a quality engineering role ideally within the HVAC thermal systems or assembly component industries.
- Experience in supervising quality technicians and leading quality improvement initiatives.
- Knowledge of quality standards such as ISO 9001 ASQ certifications and other relevant industry standards.
- Experience with statistical analysis process control techniques and root cause analysis methods
PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS
- The role is primarily based in a manufacturing facility requiring regular site visits and interaction with production teams.
- Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to safety protocols.
- The role involves extended periods of sitting in front of a computer.
- Occasional standing or walking may be required during meetings presentations or site visits.
- Work is primarily conducted in an office environment with controlled temperature and lighting.
- Travel to different office or plants locations client sites or conferences may be necessary.
