JUNIOR EXECUTIVE REEFER OPERATION (Colombo Port)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Inspect Reefer containers using instructions from the Fleet Manager and customer procedures. Diagnose malfunctions and prepare repair estimates.
• Perform repair operations on Reefer systems including handling units silver soldering electrical wiring and component connections.
• Conduct operational tests and adjust settings (temperature pressure regulation) as required.
• Carry out maintenance and monitoring at third-party sites port terminals and onboard docked ships.
• Complete service and fluid consumption reports and submit to the line manager or administrative department.
• Handle administrative tasks related to Reefer operations.
• Ensure repair quality in compliance with customer procedures safety and environmental standards.
• Meet deadlines and follow instructions from the Fleet Manager or Reefer Supervisor.
• Be available for on-call duties during nights/weekends for work at third-party sites or onboard ships.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

• Diploma or NVQ-level qualification in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning from a recognized institution.
• Successful completion of GCE O/L and GCE A/L examinations.
• Hands-on experience with Carrier Thermo King Daikin & Star Cool brands (hardware and software).
• Background in energy refrigeration or maintenance.
• Refrigerant and low-voltage electrical certifications.
• Ability to read electrical diagrams and use measuring equipment.
• Familiarity with in-house operating tools and manufacturers software.
• Strong communication skills in English.
