Job Summary
Job Title: Breast Ultrasound Sonographer
Job Duration: 13 Weeks (Contract)
Shift: Day Shift Monday to Friday (7:30 AM 4:00 PM)
Desired Location:Syracuse New York
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Breast Ultrasound Sonographer to perform diagnostic imaging and assist with breast biopsy procedures. The ideal candidate will be skilled in breast imaging patient care and independent clinical decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Perform breast ultrasound imaging and biopsy procedures
Independently operate sonographic equipment
Analyze and differentiate between normal and abnormal findings
Obtain patient medical history and prepare patients for procedures
Communicate imaging results effectively with radiologists
Manage daily workflow including scheduling and equipment maintenance
Ensure compliance with quality assurance and safety protocols
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited diagnostic medical sonography program (CHEA/USDOE recognized)
RDMS Certification (Abdomen and OB/GYN) required
Minimum 1 year of ultrasound experience
Experience in breast ultrasound and biopsy procedures required
Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
