Job Duration: 13 Weeks (Contract)
Shift: Day Shift 3x12 Hours (7:00 AM 7:30 PM)
Desired Location: Columbia South Carolina

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) with orthopedic experience for a 13-week assignment. The RN will provide care to patients in a specialized orthopedic spine unit managing post-surgical and medical conditions in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver direct patient care in a MS/Telemetry orthopedic unit

  • Monitor and assess patients with post-surgical cardiac and medical conditions

  • Administer medications including Heparin drips and post-procedural care

  • Provide care for patients undergoing spinal surgeries and orthopedic procedures

  • Maintain accurate documentation within EMR systems

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including therapy and pain management

  • Ensure compliance with patient safety and infection control standards

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of RN experience

  • Active South Carolina RN License or Multistate Compact License

  • BLS ACLS and NIHSS Certifications required

  • Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience

  • Orthopedic experience required
