Registered Nurse (RN) Med-Surg / Skilled Nursing (Night Shift)
Job Type: Contract
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Night Shift (7:00 PM 7:30 AM)
Specialty: Medical-Surgical (Adult & Pediatric)
We are seeking an experienced and adaptable Registered Nurse (RN) for a night shift contract assignment supporting both Medical-Surgical and Skilled Nursing units. This role requires flexibility to float between departments and provide high-quality care to adult and non-critical pediatric patients.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult and pediatric patients in a Med-Surg setting
- Provide care for non-critical pediatric patients
- Float to the Skilled Nursing unit as needed based on patient census
- Accurately document patient care using electronic medical records
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies procedures and safety standards
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California (required)
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Med-Surg nursing experience
- Experience with Cerner EMR (required)
- Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
- Current PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification
- Ability to work night shifts weekends and holidays as needed
- Strong clinical judgment and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
- Contract position with a 13-week assignment
- Weekly billing cycle
- Facility may adjust schedule based on census including limited call-offs
- Overtime and holiday policies apply per contract guidelines
- Travelers should be prepared to secure housing independently
