About the Role:
In collaboration with local Children & Youth Services (CYS) MVP Recovery is expanding our efforts to provide targeted support to families involved in the child welfare system due to substance use. This CRS position will focus on engaging parents who are navigating CYS involvement supporting their recovery goals while helping maintain family stability and improve reunification outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as a peer recovery support for parents with active CYS involvement.
Assist with linkage to treatment housing parenting programs and other recovery resources.
Attend CYS or case management meetings as a recovery advocate when appropriate.
Provide strengths-based support and accountability to help clients meet case goals.
Maintain communication with caseworkers and treatment teams while protecting client confidentiality.
Empower clients through education about recovery relapse prevention and reunification pathways.
Required Qualifications:
Certified Recovery Specialist (CRS) credential in Pennsylvania
Familiarity with CYS family systems or prior lived experience navigating child welfare preferred
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with systems
Trauma-informed and culturally responsive approach
