Your role at St John of God Health Care
As the Director Mission Integration Group Services you will play a critical leadership role working with Executives and the Chief Mission Integration Officer (CMIO) to integrate the Mission of SJGHC through promoting and further developing the leadership capacity and capability of leadership for Mission among senior leaders and managers in SJGHCs governance and shared services offices.
This role will help continue a strong and lasting missionled culture by supporting leaders and caregivers to live the Mission in practical ways strengthening how is embedded in everyday decisions relationships and behaviours and enabling the Values of SJGHC continue to guide how we lead now and into the future.
You will report to the National Manager Mission Integration as direct line manager with a professional line relationship to the CMIO. The role is based in Perth and supports Group Services teams in both the Perth and Melbourne offices as well as other Service CEOs.
The Position
Serves as a resource to Executives and leadership teams with regard to considerations of health care and community services that are reflective of a Catholic ministry.
Provides vision and leadership for Mission integration within Services in partnership with the CEO/Chief Officers and leadership teams.
Assists in maintaining the integrity of the Catholic identity.
Identifies prospects develops and implements plans to respond to Mission integration opportunities.
Embeds Mission aligned leadership practices through developing the capacity of leaders to:
Lead discernment grow a culture of reflective practice and model Mission aligned decision making
Demonstrate Mission aligned leadership behaviours (SJGHC Leadership Profile)
Lead formation of own teams and caregivers through practicing Reflection for Action preparing reflections and formation in the moment
Deliver initiatives in formation in partnership with the Senior Manager Formation & Ethics and SJGHC Learning & Development team that reflect the goals of formation.
Promotes ethical decisions and behaviours through the provision of analysis and access to ethics expertise.
Serves as a resource to assist all leaders and managers to lead Mission Discernment with their teams
Coordinates Mission related rituals including St John of God Day and Foundation Day celebrations new leader Commissioning and celebratory Masses.
Participates in local diocesan initiatives in consultation with CMIO and CEO.
You will have demonstrated understanding and application of key theological principles to all aspects of Mission aligned leadership demonstrate performance as a strategic and influential leader including the capacity to build collaborative relationships among senior leaders. You will demonstrate ability to develop the leadership abilities of senior leaders and managers and have expertise in developing presenting and facilitating formation programs.
To succeed you will possess Qualification/s in Theology Scripture Ethics Ministry or related studies and be Catholic and/or have demonstrated knowledge and experience of and commitment to Catholic faith culture and practices.
It is highly regarded if you have significant experience in or demonstrated understanding of the health care sector and anadvanced understanding of Catholic teaching with regard to ethical issues in health care business ethics and Catholic Social Teaching.
