Position Overview
The Assembler 1 performs work related to the production of electronics and associated products. Works in accordance with prescribed procedures. Fabricates and inspects printed circuit card assemblies electrical/electronic sub-assemblies and/or cable assemblies. Integrates fabricated assemblies into complete systems.
Responsibilities
- Has demonstrated ability to complete production tasks such as prepare pre-form and install components under supervision
- Generally understands appropriate PPE and safe work procedures for each task and why it is required may ask questions or require periodic coaching on appropriate use
- Inspect assembled items for compliance to standards and drawings
- Follows prescribed documentation and manufacturing procedures
- Recognize and use basic assembly hand tools/equipment and knows their proper application
- Maintain required paperwork related to the project
- Able to make basic decisions through the course of normal production processes
- Asks for guidance if having material or process challenges
- Understands role in production process
- Demonstrates commitment to getting the job done meets throughput requirements and demonstrates flexibility in job tasks
- Keeps workspace clean and organized
- Works constructively in a team asks questions when needed assists others when needed
- Has a positive attitude towards work assignment
- Demonstrates care and attention to detail while assembling
- Demonstrates basic knowledge of IPC standards understands class types and criteria
- Other duties as required within the context of the role.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- No experience required
- Excellent organizational time management and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to continuous quality improvement and work process evolution
- Interpersonal skills in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with others
- Manual dexterity
- Ability to sit or stand for full shift
Nice to have:
- Prior experience in a fast-paced environment
- Prior experience indicating attention to detail
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to obtain clearances such a Reliability Status Controlled Goods and/or Transportation of Dangerous Goods certification
This is a fourmonth contract position running from May to August 2026 intended for students who will be returning to school in September.
Compensation
$18.00 per hour
