Summary:The Driveris responsible forproviding safetimely and courteous transportation services to residents for scheduled individual and group activities appointments and community outings. This role ensures vehicles areoperatedsafelymaintainedin clean and workingcondition and that residents are transported in a manner that promotes comfort dignity and safety while supporting overall community operations.
Qualification Requirements
Valid current unrestricted North Carolina Drivers License.
MUST have CDLlicense
Clean driving record free of serious or repeated moving violations over the previoussevenyears.
CPR certification required or ability to obtain CPR certification within30 daysof hire.Or CNA certification
PreferredQualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (GED)preferred.
KnowledgeSkillsand Abilities
Knowledge of safe driving practices and vehicle operation including operation in varying weather conditions.
Ability to interact professionally patiently and respectfully with residents families and staff.
Skill inassistingresidents with boarding seating and exiting vehicles safely.
Ability to follow schedules routes and supervisor direction with attention to detail.
Basic knowledge of vehicle safety checks and routine maintenance requirements.
Ability to complete required documentation accurately andtimely.
Strong observational skills toidentifyand report resident concerns or vehicle issues.
Dependable punctual and able toworkassigned schedules including variable hours as needed.

Essential Functions
Safely transport residents to and from scheduled activities appointments and outingsin accordance withestablished schedules and policies.
Conduct pre-trip safety inspections of vehicles prior to transporting residents and report concerns promptly.
Assistresidents with boarding seating and exiting vehicles whilemaintainingresident dignity and safety.
Accurately record resident attendance and transportation documentation for all scheduled trips.
Maintainvehicle cleanliness including interior and exterior to ensure a safe and welcoming environment.
Transport vehicles for routine preventive maintenance and report mechanical issues or malfunctions to the supervisor.
Communicate promptly with the supervisorregardingresident incidents concerns or changesobservedduring transport.
Perform related transportation and administrative errands and other duties as assigned.
Comply withall company policies procedures and applicable laws including HIPAA and the Code of Conduct completing required training and reporting concerns promptly.
Physical Demands
Alwaysrequired tooperatea motor vehicle safely and remain seated for extended periods up to several hours per shift.
Frequently required to use visual acuity depth perception and auditory awareness tooperatevehicles and respond to traffic and environmental conditions.
Frequently required to bend stoop stretch squat and reach toassistwith loading unloading or securing items.
Frequently required to use hands and arms for steering securing seatbelts handling doors and managing equipment.
Occasionally required to lift and carry items up to 50 pounds including luggage groceries or supplies.
Occasionally required toassistresidents with mobility while entering or exiting vehicles.
