Scope of Project

The State of Virginia Department of Corrections (DOC) is seeking an IT Trainer responsible for delivering end-user training for Electronic Health Records (EHR) applications to ensure successful system adoption and usability.

This role involves developing training materials conducting training sessions and supporting application rollouts while collaborating with Health Services IT teams and vendors.

Responsibilities

Deliver instructor-led and virtual training sessions for applications
Develop and maintain training materials including user guides job aids and e-learning modules
Customize training content based on user roles and workflows
Conduct training needs assessments and recommend learning approaches
Support application rollouts upgrades and system changes
Provide system demonstrations and facilitate hands-on sessions
Evaluate training effectiveness and improve content based on feedback
Act as subject matter expert (SME) for application functionality
Collaborate with IT business teams and vendors
Maintain training schedules attendance records and completion metrics

Required Skills

5 years of experience in application training software implementation or user education
Strong presentation and facilitation skills
Experience developing training materials using PowerPoint LMS or video tools
Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
Strong communication and organizational skills
