Scope of Project

The Child Support Services Applications Team within DSS is responsible for developing and maintaining applications supporting the Child Support Services Division including PACSS (Palmetto Automated Child Support System) State Directory of New Hires (SDNH) and the Client Portal application.

The Software Architect will serve as a Lead Architect responsible for defining system architecture overseeing SDLC processes and ensuring integration across multiple applications supporting child support services.

Responsibilities

Develop in-depth knowledge of PACSS functional and technical architecture
Lead architectural design and integration for PACSS New Hire and Client Portal systems
Collaborate with System Development Contractor (SDC) for planning and execution
Oversee requirements validation system design development and testing phases
Ensure requirements traceability through SDLC lifecycle
Review deliverables and ensure alignment with project plans and contractual obligations
Lead teams of business analysts testers and SMEs
Work with DSS stakeholders to identify system issues and improvements
Develop user stories workflows and technical specifications
Assist in test case design process changes and scope management
Provide regular updates to Project Manager

Required Skills

5 years of experience with PACSS application
Experience with Child Support systems
Knowledge of Federal Regulations (IV-D) for Child Support
Experience working with developers and end users for requirements gathering
Experience with New Hire applications
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science Information Systems Engineering or related field
