Job Summary
We are looking for a highly competent and responsible Senior Accountant with proven experience in accounting logistics coordination dispatch operations and team management preferably in a D2C or e-commerce environment. Experience in the fashion industry will be an added advantage.
Role Summary:
The role involves managing end-to-end accounting functions while ensuring smooth coordination with logistics and dispatch operations. The candidate will also be responsible for leading the accounts and logistics teams to maintain efficiency accuracy and timely execution of tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting & Financial Management:
- Manage day-to-day accounting invoicing and billing activities
- Maintain books of accounts ledgers and perform timely reconciliations
- Track sales returns and payment collections accurately
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls
Logistics & Dispatch Operations:
- Coordinate with logistics and courier partners for smooth shipment movement
- Oversee dispatch operations to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment
- Monitor deliveries RTOs (Return to Origin) and shipment discrepancies
- Maintain proper documentation and reconciliation of logistics expenses
Claims Management:
- Handle claims related to fake stock open parcels damaged or incorrect deliveries
- Coordinate with courier companies for claim submission follow-ups and resolution
- Maintain proper documentation and track claim status for timely closure
Team Management:
- Lead and manage the accounts team as well as the logistics and dispatch departments
- Allocate responsibilities monitor performance and ensure timely task completion
- Facilitate coordination between teams for smooth workflow
- Train and guide team members to improve efficiency and accuracy
Reporting & Coordination:
- Prepare and present reports on financials logistics costs and claims
- Work closely with internal teams including operations warehouse and customer support
- Identify process gaps and implement improvements
Candidate Profile:
- Strong experience in accounting along with logistics and dispatch handling
- Prior experience in D2C or e-commerce business is preferred
- Proven team handling and leadership experience
- Proficiency in Tally/ERP systems and MS Excel
- Strong analytical organizational and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
