Manager Production Development and Quality

We are now looking for a new manager for Production Development & Quality part of the production department in PU UTAAS and Trackfire in Järfälla. Are you an experienced leader who wants to combine excellent leadership skills and strategic thinking This might be the position for you!

Your role

Production Development & Quality is responsible for the development preparation support and improvement of the production. The team currently consists of five production engineers and two quality engineers. As a manager you will also be responsible for the compliance of quality standards (mainly ISO 9001) within production.

We work in two main product areas: sight- and fire control systems for combat vehicles and remote weapon stations for both naval and land-based platforms where one area of application is counter-UAS.

You will be responsible for:

Continuous improvements

Design for manufacturing

Industrialization and new-product-introductions

Internal and external revisions

Maintenance

Manufacturing support

Manufacturing processes and methods

Non-conformances and Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA)

Production preparation incl. work instructions

Procurement of equipment

As a manager you are expected to:

Translate Saab Surveillance and Production strategies into clear and well-communicated targets for your organization.

Maintain and develop relations with all relevant stakeholders.

You will be a valued member of the production management team and report directly to the Head of Production. The production unit consists of a total of around 40 employees divided in 5 sections.

Your profile

We are looking for a person with previous management experience and experience of production. You are a team player with good judgement and drive you will demonstrate communicative leadership skills in order to create commitment and energy within the organization. You lead by values visions and goals and are a leader that makes changes happen - together with your team.

Bachelor or Master of Science in production development quality or other adequate educational or equal working experience.

Experience of working with prototype- and serial-production

Experience of working with product maintenance and repair.

Proven ability and interest in leading developing and challenging the organization management teams and employees.

Skills to combine strategic thinking with operational and tactical actions.

Strong business understanding and customer focus.

Excellent communication skills.

Excellent skills in spoken and written Swedish and English

Experience of change management

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
